ABOUT
How The Colony Works
Oklahoma doesn't need someone to cover it. It needs someone to connect it to itself — and these are the four ways we try.
Reporting
Journalism rooted in a place, filed under the county it happened in. Staff reporting sits alongside reports filed by neighbours under their own names and video dispatches from people who were there — three different kinds of authority, labelled as three different things, never merged into one voice.

Live programming
A 24/7 channel and member live events, with the hosts named and reachable. Watching is how most people meet us; it is not separate from the reporting, it is the reporting with a face on it.

Events
Town halls, county meetings and dated civic records — elections and public meetings, each one carrying the official source it was taken from. We do not invent a meeting schedule or an election date, and a calendar we could not read says so rather than showing you an empty week.
Education
Colony Academy is five programmes — Red Dirt U, Foundations of Liberty, the School of Media & Communication, the Entrepreneurship Academy, and Finance & Stewardship. None of them is enrolling yet, and we have not decided what access to them costs, so we are not going to imply either.
What holds it together
The reader is the customer. Membership pays for the newsroom, members read ad-free, and advertisers buy space rather than coverage. Where those three sentences would ever conflict, the first one wins — and the terms of the founding offer say so in writing.
