Different things go to different places, on purpose. Pick the one that fits and it reaches somebody who can act on it.
Something you want kept confidential
Use the tip line. It asks for no account and no name, and we do not record who sent it — not your address, not your browser. That is a promise built into the database, not a policy we remember.
Deliberately not an email address: an email carries a return address by definition, and sending a tip to an inbox would undo the thing the tip line exists to give you.
Something you want published under your name
A county report is read by an editor and then published with your byline on your county’s desk.
A correction
Tell the newsroom at editor@thecolonyok.com and name the story. Corrections are published on the story itself and listed publicly — we do not fix things quietly.
